AFFIRM AUTISM

Affirm Autism is an advocacy collective founded by parents and carers in autistic families in Brisbane. Having heard the same concerns again and again about isolation, fatigue, and barriers to accessing supports, we are driven to make practical reforms across government, education, media, and community. We dream of uplifting communities to the point that all autistic families can be recognised and supported to participate in childcare, school, and the grander community.

Together we are advocating through:

- collaborating with governments and ministries;

- collectivising the community through networks and events; 

- educating communities on the realities of and potentials for getting support; and

- promoting neurodiverse families as cornerstones of social evolution.
